    This study aims to reveal the impact of memes through social networking sites on the awareness of the social reality of the recipient by applying them to a sample of youth in the states of Ouargla and Ghardaia, where we relied on the survey method through the questionnaire tool, by distributing an electronic form to collect data from respondents who reached An available sample size is 400 young people between the ages of 18-37 of both sexes. Finally ,we came up with a set of results, the most important of which is that Young people of Ouargla and Ghardaia state that the memes express the true social reality of Algerian society. Also, among the motives and reasons for the exposure of young people in the state of Ouargla and Ghardaia to memes on Facebook are purely for entertainment purposes. In addition to the respondents’ exposure to meme, this affects their perception of the school reality. Despite the satirical content of the meme from the study, this pushes the learners to succeed more. However, those with a poor academic level are negatively affected by these contents, While Exposure to memes affected the perception of job reality, especially unemployment, and does not affect the perception of the image of the opposite sex among young people in the state of Ouargla and Ghardaia
