    Arab poets have known lamentation since the pre-Islamic era until the present day, and it was one of its most important purposes, and you rarely find a poet who did not compose it because it is an honest image of the depth of social relations. The art of lamentation was and remains one of the most prominent purposes of Arab poetry despite the transformations it has undergone in its traditions among poets. Arabs and its expression of Arab conscience.That is why we took a central figure who had a fundamental role in preserving the identity of the Algerian people in these parts of the country, one of the most prominent in the Touat region and Algeria in general. This character is represented by Sheikh Sidi Mohammed Belkabir.At the beginning, we dealt with an introduction in which we gave a brief overview of the lamentation. Then we introduced the personality of Sheikh Muhammad Belkabir in terms of his lineage, his place of birth, his high religious status, his dear knowledge, his influence on society in southern Algeria, his light in teaching the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, his angle in Adrar, and his contributions to spreading science and knowledge among people Then we moved on to analyze some poems composed by
