مرحلة المفاوضات الجزائرية الفرنسية 1960- 1962
(جامعة غرداية, 2015) دليلة, بن حمادي
This study entitled "The Algerian French negotiations between (1960/1962), one of the crucial phases in the history of the Algerian Liberation Movement, investigates the early period of the revolution. This period is seen as the bridge through which the Algerian Revolution got its independence. From the very start, The National Liberation Front announced the principle of negotiation and the armed struggle among the solutions as stated in the official document “November statement”. The Algerian -French negotiations were not the outcome of the period between 1960/1962;however, it dated back to the early contacts between the two sides in 1956, represented in several preliminary meetings all of them drifted into failure for many reasons. Thus, the negotiations stopped and appeared again during Moulin meetings in 1960, a year later in the meetings of Lucerne 1961 and another meeting in Niuchal in the same year, but these last contacts turned to secret meetings which led to its failure again. the representatives of the two governments (the Algerian and the French) came to negotiate officially during Evian Accord through two major stages. The first stage was in the year1961,it included a series of meetings starting from the first Evian in May, then with Loughran in July and PAL meetings as well as the secret meeting between the Ministers of the two governments .All these meetings provided intensive works. Whereas, the second stage took place in Lee Ross (February, 1962).where they signed the Evian agreements, brought about a ceasefire in 19 march 1962 and decided to hold a referendum.
