    This study aims at identifying the contribution of the availability of information security management requirements according to the standard of ISO 27001 in the effectiveness of information systems security management in institutions. This study was applied to the operation department of Algeria Telecom in Ghardaia.A descriptive approach analytical and a case study using the questionnaire are the main tools for this research. Analyzing the results using statistical methods and tools, which enabled us to answer the main problem of how the availability of IS management requirements contribute in accordance with the standard of ISO 27001 in the operation department of Algeria Telecom. The most important findings of the study were a positive value correlation between the availability of IS management requirements according to the ISO 27001 standard and the effectiveness of IS management in the operation department of Algeria Telecom in Ghardaia. Finally, a number of recommendations made to activate the IS management of the institution in accordance with international requirements. The most important of these is the periodic scrutiny of the security policies and procedures and taking its findings to find alternative solutions and future plans.
