    Pour une contribution à l'amélioration des caractéristiques chimiques et mécaniques d’un béton à base de sables dunaire et ses fines

    This experimental study aimed to improve the chemical and mechanical properties of concrete using dune sand from southern Algeria (region of Aïn Salah). The characteristics of the raw materials were analyzed and several concrete formulations and mortar formulation containing varying proportions of dune sand and fine dune sand were tested. The results showed that the use of dune sand up to 30% improves the compressive strength of the concrete as well as itsresistance to sulfate attacks, highlighting its utility as a sustainable and economical alternative to ordinary sand. Additionally, the use of this sand contributes to reducing the environmental impact of the concrete industry by lowering carbon emissions and the consumption of traditional natural resources. The study demonstrates the potential for wider application of this technique following further research and development.
