    Étude et dénombrement des parasites intestinaux chez le Bruant du Sahara.

    Our study focuses on the investigation and enumeration of intestinal parasites potentially infecting the House Bunting (Emberiza sahari) in the Mansourah and Metlili regions (Ghardaïa province) during the year 2025. Fieldwork commenced in February and continued through May. Samples were collected from 25 individuals (13 femâles and 12 mâles) using traditional traps (sieve traps). Analysis of the morphological parameters of the Saharan Bunting revealed no evidence of sexual dimorphism. Regarding parasitological findings, an infection rate was observed in 19 individuals— 11 femâles and 8 mâles—with a diversity of seven parasite species identified through microscopic examination: Hymenolepis sp, Eimeria sp, Coccidia sp, Syngamus trachea , Nematode sp, Capillaria spand Avian Ascarids.
