Abstract

In order to identify the insects and diseases that attack pomegranates in Ghardaïa, region, we carried out investigations with farmers interested in this cultivation, and took samples to the laboratory for 6 months. According to the diagnosis and study, the pomegranate tree is strongly attacked by some pests that cause damage such as pomegranate butterfly, date moth, aphid, physiological disease and Cryptogrammic disease. The pomegranate butterfly is causing significant damage to pomegranate fields in the region, and we have advised farmers to follow treatment methods to minimise the damage.
