INVENTAIRE SUR LES BIOAGRESSEURS DE SAFRAN DANS LA REGION DE BERRIANE (GHARDAÏA)

Abstract

The objective of thisworkwas to study the fauna and floraassociatedwithasaffronlocated in a town in southernAlgeria, belonging to the wilaya of Ghardaia. For wildlifesampling, severaltrapping techniques wereused, includingyellow basins, Barber pots and sticky plates. For the flora, surveysfloristicsalong a transectwerecarried out periodically. The resultsobtained show an appreciablefaunalrichnessmainlybelonging to the branch of the arthropods, with 62 species. Amongthese last 49 species, i.e. 79% of all inventoriedspeciesbelonged to the class of insects. The 62 inventoriedspecies have differentdietarystatuses. We found pests, predators and pollinators, with a higherspecificrichness for the first two groups on the third. There floraassociatedwith the saffronsubject of the studyisrich in number of species and botanicalfamilies. Indeed, 108 speciesbelonging to 29 families have been inventoried. Among all the flora and faunaassociatedwith the saffron plantation studied, itismainlyflorathatharmssaffron plants, competingwiththem in the elementsnutrients and water. As for the harmfulelements of the inventoriedfauna, these are thosebelonging to the mammals, represented by the hares and to the birdsrepresented by the partridges, which cause more or lesssignificant damage within the saffronfield.
