dc.description.abstractThis study aims to identify the role of mobile journalism in enriching the media content of Algeria's public media in local radio stations, where mobile media is a new media form, due to the fast development of information and communications technologies from classical to digital. in this study we have addressed the ratio of journalists' use of mobile journalism, in addition to the most important motivations that led local broadcasters to use this type of press. It covered also the methods and applications that characterize the mobile media. And this pushed us to know the real extent to which Algerian local radio stations use mobile journalism. The study was applied to a sample of local radio journalists in Ghardaia, Wargla and Mila, estimated at 5 journalists per radio, with a total of 15 journalists, relying on a qualitative approach, observation and interview tools. Thus, we raised the following problem: "How does mobile journalism contribute to enriching media content in Algerian local radio?" And the most important findings we have reached were, first, the proportion of mobile journalism use in Algerian local radio stations varies from radio station to another according to interest, desire and training. Also, the motives that led Algerian local broadcasters to utilize mobile journalism are: keeping abreast with technological development, the fast flow of information and seeking to stay competitive with other media by targeting the electronical audience. Second, the editorial methods of mobile journalism differ from classic editing methods, because writing for a picture requires the knowledge of the editor about narrowing and keywords control. Since the mobile media is still in its early stages in Algerian local radio stations, mastering these methods requires being skilled and trained. Finally, the management of mobile journalism applications by the Algerian local radio stations is relatively good, considering that mobile media is still in its beginnings in Algeria. And the difference noted in the mastery of these apps depends on how much interest each radio station gives for the training.EN_en
