Abstract
Our work presents a preliminary study of ant populations in three ecosystems in the Daya
ben Dahoua region (Ghardaïa). The four months of 2023 .
Using pot-barber sampling methods, we obtained the following results: The species
inventoried all belong to a single Formicidae family and three subfamilies, including:
Fourmicinés: Camponots thoracicus, Myrmicinés: Messor aegyptiacus ,and Pheidole palludial .
Finally, the Dolichoderinés subfamily comprises a single genus and two species: Tapinoma
nigerrimum and Tapinoma sp.
Analysis of the results obtained using Shannon-Weaver indices has enabled us to
conclude that specific diversity is greater in April and March.
