Abstract

This study aims to highlight the role of customs systems in promoting non-fuel exports. The problem of the study is: What is the role of customs policies in promoting non-fuel exports in Algeria? Through the analysis of export structure statistics from 2010 to 2020, and conducting a field study at the customs inspectorate in the Ghardaia province, we reached several important results, including: Customs facilitation mechanisms have contributed to the promotion of non-fuel exports by significant percentages. However, they have not yet reached the level of aspirations adopted by the Algerian state in this context. This pushes the Algerian authorities to provide more support for these mechanisms to ensure the enhancement of non-fuel exports, which would improve the national economic indicators
