Abstract

We conducted this stady to characterize certain adaptation properties of the aerial parts of the main spontaneous plants in Septentrional Saharan Pasture, in the region of GHARDAIA. (case of Metlili chaamba) In the station, we identifided 08 species belonging to 08 botanical families, with only one unidentified species. All of these plantes are perennial.the density of the flora varies considerably among the species. The relative frequency ranges from 16,66% to 100%. The vegetation recovry varies depending on the floristic richness and the life cycle of indiviuals in the study area. The resultes of our study have shown several methodes of aerial adaptation including reduction in the leaf surface area, transformation of leaves into needles or thorns, and leaf rolling.
