Abstract

This study focuses on the power of allelophatic aqueous leaf extract of Pituranthos chloranthus l, harvested in the region Ghardaia northern Sahara on the germination of barley grains hordeum vulgare l .Poaceae. This study allowed us to see that the leaf and root extracts of this plant have agermination inhibitor, the aqueous extract of leaf it is us66,67%, 65.00 % , 56,67%, 50.00%, 50,00% , 46,67% , 41,67%, 36,67% , 26,67%, at,100%, 90% , 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%,respectively seed of hordeum vulgare l treated with aqueous root extract diluted to100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, 40% , 30%, 20%, 10%,it is at 91,67%, 71,67%,66,67%, 65,00%, 56,67%, 50.00%, ,46,67%, 46,67%, 43,33%, 31,67%,respectively. Also it is reported delays germination and growth of grain test treated compared to control batch plant grains
