Abstract

Thestudyof thediversityofmorphometricandbiological traitsofbeescontributestothe enrichment ofbeekeepingbreedconservationprojects. Abiometricstudywasconductedon 100domesticworkerbeescollectedfrom4sitesintheWilayaofGhardaia,characterizedbya desert bioclimatic environment. At eachsite, 25bees were randomlycollected, and15 morphological traitsweremeasuredforeach. Thesetraitsareessential forhoneyproduction andother hive products. The averages of themorphological traits were analyzedusing statistical methodstodeterminetherangeofvariationofbeepopulations. Thecomparison betweenthe4siteswascarriedoutusingtheKruskal-Wallistest, asitallowsforexamining differencesbetweenmultiplegroupswithout assumingthat thedataisnormallydistributed. This studyrevealedthe existence of significant differences for several traits. characters betweenregions, whichshowsatruebiologicaldiversity.Thishasledustosuggestthatthese beesarewelladaptedtotheharshconditionsofthedesert, withbodiesthathelpthemsurvive inahot anddryclimate.
