Abstract

In this Study ,we touched on Sufism and the most famoussufi paths in Algeria during the ottoman era.Wealso focused in this study on the Rahmaniyamethod that isattributed to its founder sheikh abd al- Rahman al-azhari,who had an active role in the scientific and sufi life, and this methodwitnessed its expansion and spread in all parts of the country and thatduring the eighteenth century Ad. It had a strong presence and influence on the Algeriansociety at the timethrough its sheikh's and comers , and itsinteractionwith the general situation and itsconfrontation with the French occupationthought the popularresistance and revolutions led byelders and followers in that period.
