Abstract

The aim of this work is to verify the biocidal efficacy of plant extracts of three Saharan plants, namely Pergularia tomentosa L. (Asclepiadaceae); Euphorbia guyoniana Boiss. & Reut. (Euphorbiaceae) and Asphodelus tenuifolius Cav. (Asphodelaceae) on Meloidogyne spp. Nematodes and black aphid Aphis fabae L. (Homoptera-Aphididae). These extracts gave very satisfactory results. We reported very high mortality rates after 45 days of application of extracts for nematicidal effects; the gall index according to Taylor and Sasser equals 3 on the scale for the extract of Pergularia tomentosa L and the mixture of Pergularia + Asphodelus. The results obtained for the insecticidal effect during which mortality rates vary between 81.45% and 97.03% are reported
