Abstract
This study is focused on the extraction of essential oils from three medicinal and aromatic
plants Mentha pulegium L , Apium graveolens and Pelargonium graveolens was performed by the
method of hydrodistilation ., Test of the antibacterial activity of these plants thus the 4 bacterial
strains. Our study leaves appear: the yields of essential oils of Mentha pulegium L(0.25 %) and
pelargonium graveolens (0.15%), the essential oils of Pelargonium graveolens have strong
antibacterial activity (36 ±0.816 mm) from the Mentha pulegiumL (19 ±0 mm) in Escherichia coli.,
Enterobacter cloacae., Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aerogenosa, and hydrosols our
plants, an average efficiency observed compared to the essential oils.
