Abstract
In the context of studying fungal diseases affecting palm trees in the Menia region, and with
the aim of identifying the different types of fungi that infect palm varieties in the area, our
work is conducted in three stages:
o First, we conduct surveys with agricultural authorities in Ghardaïa and Menia.
o Then, we identify the locations and take samples in the three municipalities (Menia, Hassi
El Gara, and Hassi El Fhel).
o Finally, we conduct laboratory work.
o After performing isolation and identification in the laboratory, we obtained the following
results:
- The types of fungi identified are Aspergillus sp, Alternaria sp, and Penicillium sp.
