Abstract

This study aimed to identify the attachment patterns of the mother of an autistic child and their relationship to the communication of the child with autism. The descriptive approach was used, and two scales (the Yarmouk scale of attachment patterns for adults, prepared by Dr. Abu Ghazal and Jaradat in 2016, and the scale of communication skills for the two, prepared by Dr. Mushira Fathi Muhammad Salama 2016) were formed. The sample of 52mothers and 52 children was chosen from the Pedagogical Center of the municipality of Metlili, Ghardaïa Province. In pursuit of the goal of the study, information was collected and processed statistically. The study concluded that there is a relationship between patterns of attachment to the mother and communication.
