Physico-chemical and bacteriological analyses were conducted over a five-month period (January to May) on domestic effluents treated by a natural lagoon-based biological treatment plant serving the municipalities of Meniaa and Hassi El Gara. The results indicate compliance with parameters such as temperature, pH, nitrites, nitrates, and phosphorus. However, BOD₅ (39 mg/L) and suspended solids (42.8 mg/L) exceed the permissible limits. Removal efficiencies reached 53.4% for BOD₅, 47.5% for COD, 53% for suspended solids, and over 98% for coliforms. These findings suggest partial treatment effectiveness, highlighting the need for further improvements to ensure compliant discharge and support the sustainable reuse of treated wastewater.frStation d’épuration, Eaux usées, Qualité, wilaya de El Meniaa.Wastewater treatment plant, Wastewater, Quality, Province El MeniaaContribution à l'étude de la gestion des eaux usées de la willaya d’El Meniaa (Cas Hassi-El-Gara)
