Data is collected via a teacher survey, class observations, and content analysis. The outcomes indicate that, although the language use and subject selection are addressed by the textbook, its overall interactivity and the multiple cultural representations it allows for are compromised by the content of the material. The textbook also did not always represent official curricula. Recommendations are also provided by the study based on the criticism established for improving the quality of textbooks and a better alignment with the students and the educational goals.enEnglish Language Teaching (ELT)Learner-Centered TeachingPrimary EducationCurriculum AlignmentTextbook EvaluationAnalyzing the Effectiveness of English Language Textbooks for Primary School Students: A CaseStudy of Fifth-Year Learners in Algerian Primary EducationThesis
