رحيمة, بيشيابراهيم, سعيود2024-09-242024-09-242021https://dspace.univ-ghardaia.edu.dz/xmlui/handle/123456789/8692This paper aims to highlight the motives behind the escalation of marine jihadist operations in the Mediterranean basin during the 16th century, and to provide the regency of Algiers with the unlimited material and human aid of the Andalusian Moors in their 'revolutions' against the Spanish, as well as the efforts of Khaireddine and Alj Ali in Tunisia to thwart Spain's plan to occupy it. The Ottoman fleet, led by Sinan Pasha, intervened, which was able to expel the Spanish permanently from Tunisia, which was annexed to the Ottoman Empire in 1574.
