    The Effect of Songs on Vocabulary Learning of Young School English Language Learners at DJAAFAR Djelloul Primary School in Ghardaia.

    The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of teaching English vocabulary through songs to young English learners in Algeria. The participants of the study consisted of 41 third grade pupils at primary school .The researchers adopted a quasi experimental method based on forming two matching groups (the experimental and the control group), assessing the learners by means of pre and post tests and analyzing the results. The findings revealed that there was no significant difference in the mean scores of the experimental group which was instructed with songs and the control group taught using the traditional method (PPP) in the post-test. However, songs had a positive impact on the experimental class as it contributed to a dynamic and enjoyable learning experience, encouraging active participation and facilitating vocabulary learning.

    Enhancing Speaking Skills of EFL Students through Role Play Case Study: Hello Languages School-Metlili, Ghardaia

    The aim of learning a foreign language is to communicate fluently and confidently in real-life situations. However, manylearners of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) face challenges in speaking due to fear or lack of confidence. This study investigates the effectiveness of a specific type of role-play game in enhancing the speaking proficiency and attitudes of EFL learners. A case study was conducted with 40 participants at Hello Language School in Metlili. The research utilized pre- and post-tests to assess the level and effectiveness of the game, along with a two-month observation period during the implementation, comparing the experimental and control groups. The results, analyzed using a T-test, indicate that the role-play game had a significant and enjoyable impact on improving participants' speaking proficiency. This finding is consistent with previous literature reviews. The specific type of role-play discussed in this study offers a fun and engaging approach for EFL learners to practice and enhance their speaking skills.

    A Comparative Study of EFL Learners' Speaking Skills in Private and Public SchoolsCase Study: Erridouane and Mofdi Zakaria High Schools' Third Year Foreign Languages Stream Students

    This study aims to examine the speaking skills of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners in private and public schools, with the objective of understanding potential differences in speaking proficiency between these two educational settings. Additionally, the study seeks to identify the primary distinctions in EFL teaching methods and materials between the two types of schools. To achieve these goals, a comparative case study was conducted, involving data collection from multiple sources and research instruments. A questionnaire and a speaking test were administered in both private and public school settings. The collected data underwent rigorous analysis using quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings indicate that students in private schools exhibit higher levels of English speaking proficiency compared to their counterparts in public schools. Furthermore, significant disparities were observed between the two school types in terms of teaching quality and the materials utilized for developing English speaking skills. These findings highlight the importance of considering instructional resources and teaching approaches in promoting English speaking proficiency among EFL learners.
